I grew up in the countryside of Australia and spent my youth watching foreign films and collecting National Geographic magazines, dreaming of exotic destinations. After meeting my partner six years ago we decided to head off on our own adventure and explore this amazing planet. Back home I work as a film maker and videographer so decided to bring along my camera with the hopes of making small documentaries along the way. At some point, I began to take still photographs as well and although it’s a new medium for me I loved the simplicity and the spontaneity and how you can instantly capture those moments, people and places that you want to hold in your heart.
After returning home to Melbourne without any long trips on the horizon, I decided to create this small destination guide of the places I have visited and photographed to help other intrepid travelers plan their own world adventures.
I wanted to create an authentic guide which shows what places truly look like from the everyday travelers perspective and not just the perfect version you normally see, because I think that the truth is already pretty incredible.
