Brussels is the eclectic and cool capital of Belgium, the home of beautiful, classic architecture and vibrant and interesting cafe’s & bar’s.
Although it is the largest city in Belgium, it has a distinct village feel. On a warm afternoon, the streets fill with locals enjoying the sunshine and laid back atmosphere.
As is the case in many Belgium city’s the waffles are an absolute highlight and I highly recommend you take away and enjoy them in one of the many parks.
For me the thing that makes Brussels so unique is the wonderful comic book art that can be found throughout the center and Laeken. You can pick up a free guide map that shows you the comic book route to take to enjoy all of the imaginative Franco-Belgian comic art.
